The Coffey County Council for the Arts (CCCA) began in the late 1989 – early 1990’s to promote and encourage all forms of artistic endeavors in Coffey County.

CCCA approached the Burlington High School Art Department regarding a contest for a logo. Students artwork was judged, without student names, by CCCA, resulting in the logo which is featured on the front of this brochure.

During the early years of CCCA, the arts flourished in Coffey County with a guest symphony performance, a dueling piano performance, a Coffey County Community Theatre created, and many activities for the children in Coffey County.

The CCCA started as a membership-based organization and relied on its members to fund and showcase the arts.

CCCA is currently funded by the following resources:

Coffey County Commission
Holtz Foundation
Donors and Sponsors
We also have many volunteers helping with the activities.

CCCA Mission

The Coffey County Council for the Arts is a nonprofit arts organization, working to enhance the quality of life in this community by promoting an awareness and understanding of the literary, visual and performing
